Learn how to make masks using channels in Adobe Photoshop CS3 to create high quality and accurate selections like the professionals do. You will create a series of channel masks, and you will gain a good understanding of how channels work within Photoshop. This is an advanced level class for students who have mastered Photoshop I and Photoshop II. Topics include:

  • Using painting tools with blending modes inside alpha channels
  • Using Calculations and the Apply Image commands to channels
  • Adjusting alpha channels with levels
  • Using luminance blending
  • Applying layer masks
  • Creating special effects using channels
